Senior Manager Digital Video - Andscape Job at Disney in Los Angeles

Overview

Andscape, a content studio that explores the depth of Black identity through its power in sports and culture, is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Video, to lead and execute a compelling video content strategy. This individual will focus on developing, producing, and optimizing digital video content, particularly for YouTube and other freemium platforms, to engage and grow Andscape’s audience.

Reporting to the VP & Head of Storytelling, this role will be instrumental in transitioning Andscape.com’s content strategy to be video-led rather than primarily text-based, aligning with evolving audience consumption habits.

The ideal candidate is both highly creative and strategically minded, with the vision to develop original formats akin to Hot Ones or The Shop while possessing the technical and operational expertise to efficiently produce and distribute content across platforms. This individual must understand how to create content tailored for YouTube and emerging digital ecosystems, ensuring Andscape remains competitive in the evolving digital media landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a best-in-class digital video strategy, prioritizing YouTube and other freemium video environments.
• Lead the creation of original video series and content formats, conceptualizing and producing compelling, shareable content.
• Work closely with the Senior Manager, Social Media, to integrate video strategies across Andscape’s platforms, maximizing audience reach and engagement.
• Oversee end-to-end video production workflows, including pre-production, shooting, editing, and post-production.
• Optimize content for platform-specific performance, leveraging analytics, SEO strategies, and audience insights to increase discoverability and impact.
• Manage and mentor a team of video producers, editors, and content associates, ensuring high-quality production and efficient execution.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-platform content expansion, integrating digital video with editorial, social, and linear storytelling.
• Collaborate with internal partners across ESPN, Disney, and third-party platforms to align Andscape’s video strategy with broader company objectives.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess content success, implementing data-driven improvements in production and distribution.

The hiring range for this position is $105,800 to $145,400 per year in New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; and remote which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
