The Town of Marana is seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to work in the Water Department. This full-time role provides opportunities for recent graduates or those seeking to support engineering activities through assisting with water / wastewater hydraulic modeling system analysis, master planning, engineering plan reviews, and general day-to-day water / wastewater engineering tasks.

Expected Hiring Range : $22.30 - $27.32 / hour

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing public and developer-financed construction documents against defined criteria; reviews standard technical reports such as master plans, infrastructure improvement plans, and hydraulic modeling reports.
• Operates and maintains hydraulic water and sewer models used to track system capacity; conducts analysis to inform development and executes "what if" development scenarios in modeling software.
• Prepares basic technical memoranda, reports, and presentations to describe results of hydraulic and engineering analysis; assists with preparing construction cost estimates and other engineering support for infrastructure planning and policy making.
• Assists in investigations of water / sewer related field problems affecting property owners, contractors, and infrastructure operations and maintenance.
• Assists in observing and documenting construction of water and wastewater infrastructure and construction compliance tests.
