Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol License

As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol License in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service while responding to various situations. This armed position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working with a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $20.35 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sat10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and / or other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate and collaborate with law enforcement and / or emergency responders as needed.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • An active armed guard card or license is required.
  • Experience with access control systems and / or badge management is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
