Reporting To : Supplier Quality & Development Manager

Work Schedule : Onsite Torrance, CA

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will : Supplier Quality Engineers play a vital role in driving continuous improvement within our supply base, mitigating risks, and ensuring that all purchased parts meet stringent aerospace industry standards.

Supplier Quality Engineers are involved in all stages of the supplier lifecycle, from initial assessment and selection to ongoing performance monitoring and improvement. They work closely with internal stakeholders (engineering, procurement, manufacturing) and external suppliers to establish and maintain robust quality systems that deliver defect-free parts and on-time delivery.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of quality principles, robust problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues. They will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

To be considered for Supplier Quality Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you :

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant subject (ex : Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain); Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer or related Quality Assurance role within the aerospace or a similar regulated industry (e.g., automotive, medical device)
• Experience with industry-standard quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC, APQP, AS9100)
• Proficiency with quality management systems, including AS9100 and other relevant aerospace standards
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques and corrective / preventive action (CAPA) implementation
• Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection methods
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary Range Transparency : Torrance, CA $80,000.00$125,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer : The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
