Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Automatic Power Press Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in set-up, tool and die maintenance, and stamping operations. Key Responsibilities
- Operate automatic power presses safely and efficiently to produce high-quality stamped parts
- Perform machine set-up, including tool and die installation, adjustment, and alignment
- Monitor press operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency
- Conduct regular inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Perform preventive maintenance on presses, tools, and dies to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues with presses and tooling
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Accurately complete production reports and maintain detailed records of press operations
- Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices with colleagues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality control procedures
Qualifications and SkillsRequired :
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience as an Automatic Power Press OperatorProficiency in set-up, tool and die maintenance, and stamping operationsStrong understanding of press operations, tooling, and metal forming processesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructionsExperience with various types of stamping presses (e.g., mechanical, hydraulic, servo)Knowledge of quality control techniques and inspection methodsFamiliarity with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)Basic computer skills for data entry and report generationExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written
