Job Title : Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment and machinery. The role also involves installing new equipment, ordering parts, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive maintenance and repairs on all equipment.
• Install new equipment and determine necessary parts for repairs.
• Communicate effectively with operators and management regarding daily needs.
• Complete reports on problems or parts ordering.
• Operate band saws, drill presses, grinders, and other shop tools proficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant machinery issues.
• Repair molds using appropriate setup procedures.
• Replace or repair bearings and related parts.
• Make minor wiring repairs.
• Create fabrications from drawings.
• Perform repairs in high locations and enclosed areas.
• Weld in various positions and locations on different joint types.
• Replace equipment parts following proper instructions.
• Start or jog equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Order minor parts as necessary.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to solve machinery problems.
• Perform all maintenance on equipment and tools safely.
• Attend safety meetings and comply with all safety rules.
• Report and correct hazardous conditions.
• Ensure regular attendance.

Work Environment

This role is based in a plant environment with loud noise and exposure to dust. Work may involve high precarious places, near moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, and vibration. Mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, Idaho.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 / hr.
