Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
We are in search of an experienced Part-Time Maintenance Technician in Santa Fe, NM to repair the residences of the individuals that are supported by our organization. The Maintenance Technician maintains residential homes, facilities, and vehicles. This person is responsible for repairing issues that arise, completing regular maintenance plans, and working with local management to contract external contractors.
Responsibilities
- Develop a schedule of basic maintenance tasks
- Complete required maintenance tasks in a timely manner
- Ensure repairs are made timely in a way that is safe and in compliance with the local laws and regulations
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and structural components including appliances, fans, lights, flooring, carpets, paneling, doors, etc.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, spackling, and basic electrical or plumbing work
- Advise management when an outside contractor may be necessary
- Review contractor estimates to ensure they accurately reflect the required repairs and reasonable job costs
- Follow OSHA guidelines for safety and the proper handling of tools
- Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
Minimum Requirements
