About the role January Digital is looking to fill an Associate Director role for our agency team. This role requires a deep understanding of the digital media landscape and hands-on experience across multiple channels. You will be a key player in developing client digital media strategy aligned with business objectives and will serve as the main strategic partner guiding current and future media planning and opportunities. You will also manage a team within the agency.
Responsibilities Drive advancement of client’s strategic objectives through thoughtful leadership.
Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business and use data to identify growth opportunities and reinforce the agency\'s strategic value.
Build trust with clients by managing team deliverables, setting priorities, and overseeing multi-channel tactical activation of marketing campaigns.
Lead external relationship development across clients and identify optimal vendor partnerships.
Lead strategic vision through long-term goals, client growth opportunities, and ownership of complex deliverables including quarterly business reviews and annual multi-channel budget planning.
Manage client communication endpoints across the team and strive to exceed service expectations.
Lead a team by providing management, training, and opportunities for growth and development.
Demonstrate thought leadership by identifying industry changes and emerging technology innovations to provide informed recommendations.
Collaborate across teams to drive agency development with new business opportunities.
Engage with senior leadership to solve company challenges and support growth goals.
Qualifications 7+ years of experience managing paid media across digital channels (search, social, display, programmatic, video).
3+ years managing teams with demonstrated leadership ability.
Proven ability to produce innovative multi-channel media plans and go-to-market strategies for complex clients.
Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Understanding of performance media principles—driving ROAS, lead generation, and subscription-based programs.
Analytically minded with a willingness to troubleshoot and improve client retention.
Excellent collaboration skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
Experience working with creative and development teams to produce digital assets is preferred.
Ability to keep up with digital marketing trends and enact best-in-class programs for clients.

The salary range for this role in New York City is $110,500 to $135,000. This range is part of a total compensation package including a bi-annual performance bonus and other benefits.
