job_description.job_card.job_descriptionControl access to the location by verifying credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures. Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity. Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and site-specific protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and security-related incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies. Communicate promptly with site management and Allied Universal regarding security-related concerns and / or emergencies. Follow all site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to chemical and petrochemical environments. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Security Officer Access Control Specialist
As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in El Dorado, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more.
As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will play a key role in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
