SpotNco is looking for a Q Grader to help us perfect our coffee recipes and flavor profiles across our next generation of smart coffee machines. This is a short-term, project-based role ideal for someone passionate about coffee quality and flavor precision.

About the Role

You will collaborate directly with our team to :

  • Develop, refine, and finalize coffee recipes for various machine types.
  • Adjust roast levels, grind sizes, and extraction parameters to ensure taste consistency.
  • Conduct cupping sessions and provide detailed sensory evaluations.
  • Advise on bean sourcing, blending, and overall quality improvement.
  • Assist with machine calibration and settings optimization.

Requirements

  • Licensed Arabica Q Grader (CQI certified).
  • Practical experience with coffee equipment and commercial machines.
  • Strong sensory and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to visit our Alexandria, Virginia location when needed for cuppings, trials, and calibration work.
  • Available for a limited-term project engagement (duration to be discussed).
