Pay Rate : $44,880 - $55,370 per year. Pay will be determined based on related work experience above required. To be considered in determining pay, all related work experience must be listed on the application.
Reference check requirements : Three (3) professional references, two (2) should be former or current supervisors and one (1) professional reference. Personal references are not considered acceptable. A professional reference such as a previous or current co-worker may be used as one of the references.
Position Summary The overall purpose of the Graphic Designer is to accurately design print and web material for internal and external audiences for the purpose of promoting the college through marketing and information avenues.
Essential Functions 70% : Develop and implement creative and professional concepts for the graphic design of print publications, advertisements and other informative college publications, often in collaboration with the Senior Graphic Designer.
15% : Ensure that graphic design materials fit into the college’s overall marketing strategy and Identity Guidelines and are technically sound for commercial printing publications.
5% : Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer, Web and Advertising assistant director, Publications coordinator and outside printers and sales associates to guarantee that jobs are designed and packaged to meet proper printing guidelines and specifications.
5% : Document and track the status of each design project.
5% Stay current on design trends, software, printing processes, competitors, etc., and apply knowledge when developing designs. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in graphic design and / or commercial printing knowledge.
Two years’ experience in graphic design and experience and knowledge of printing processes required.
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.
