Role Overview
This role is ideal for someone experienced in implementing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and warehouse management systems in a manufacturing environment. You will lead the implementation of a new ERP / WMS system, currently in Phase 1, and work towards continuous improvement in subsequent phases. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Netsuite and ERP systems, with prior Netsuite implementation experience preferred.
The ERP Administrator will oversee operations related to PO management, receiving, warehouse, inventory, and parts dispatch, managing a team of 4-6 direct reports. The role requires strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate concepts into operational systems.
Work Schedule
This is an exempt position, Monday to Friday, from 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch break.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily ERP system operations including POs, receiving, warehouse, and inventory.
- Lead warehouse team to ensure efficient parts deployment and timely completion of pick lists.
- Work with EDI data and ERP system implementation.
- Apply strong analytical skills to database and process management.
- Participate actively in Phase 1 of the ERP implementation plan.
- Create an organized WMS environment with accurate KPI reporting.
- Maintain an organized warehouse environment with clear labeling and resource availability.
- Implement new procedures to improve flow of parts and information.
- Develop team through training, coaching, and development initiatives.
- Certification as a Netsuite Administrator is a plus; plan to obtain certification within 1 year.
The Big Eight
Lead the Netsuite ERP implementation, managing processes for a seamless migration.Oversee project team members and third-party implementors.Manage project planning, milestones, KPIs, and communication.Improve warehouse management processes and integrate into ERP.Develop procedures and guidelines for ERP system use.Identify obsolete parts, organize transfers, and implement inventory slotting.Manage electronic information and physical inventory projects within Netsuite.Drive continuous improvement in warehouse and inventory management.Objectives
Manage a team of 4-6 direct reports effectively.Implement Phase 1 warehouse and inventory processes, including Netsuite migration, by December 2023.Generate reports and analysis to support decision-making.Achieve 85% implementation of Phase 1 systems upon hire, and 95% by the deadline.Ensure the ERP system goes live on December 1, 2023.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and system management.Lead labeling and organization of all parts and warehouse areas.Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required.At least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.Demonstrated experience with NetSuite systems; certification preferred.Proficiency in workflow design, database management, and system integration.Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office.Benefits
