Essential Functions
- Develop the working relationship between Parker Aerospace and the customer by performing the role of primary interface between the customer and the company.
- Facilitate all aspects of the business including sales, technical, contractual delivery, service, quality, and aftermarket support.
- Build and expand revenue with the customer by obtaining access to the customer's technical and requirements road map so that Parker Aerospace can be positioned to support current and emerging requirements.
- Identify customer requirements and match them to Parker Aerospace's core competencies and strategic objectives, seeking opportunities to better collaborate with the customer in areas of current competition.
- Coordinate the development of proposals providing strategic and tactical insight to maximize the potential for winning the work; assist in contract negotiations to ensure favorable and consistent terms.
- Coordinate bids and contracts with the customer, ensuring all appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Represent internally the customer's needs and expectations, developing internal relationships, influencing the business unit leadership to meet the demands of the customer, working with technical leaders to define new products and programs, and providing awareness of program and product opportunities.
- Lead and direct work for the team of employees as defined by business needs.
- Keep informed on competitive products, pricing and new product development.
- Identify target markets / applications for division products and keep management informed of competitive and market issues via monthly reports and other specially requested reports.
- Continuously maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productivity.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (required); technical major preferred.10 years of progressively increasing business development experience with visibility to a broad spectrum of emerging technologies.Demonstrated ability to quickly understand customer's business, key players and create opportunities for the company.Strong networking and facilitator skills to generate appropriate levels of contact with customer management and within Parker Aerospace.Ability to pursue business development opportunities.Strong technical background to understand the technical requirement and capabilities, evaluate the technical development and the immediate or future strategic implications.Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking capabilities and ability to interface with cross-functional disciplines in a multi-divisional and matrix environment.Experienced at delivering customer service in the sector.Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience.Capable of directing the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems, applying advanced analytical thought and judgement.Hands-on oriented with a "can-do" approach to drive tasks to completion.Demonstrates a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Benefits
