Forklift Operator (Direct Hire)
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for pulling orders to ensure efficient shipment to customers, managing various shipping functions, and moving parts within the facility. You will play a crucial role in supporting both market and assembly lines by supplying materials and ensuring the smooth flow of goods.
Responsibilities
- Pull orders for efficient shipment to customers.
- Manage Direct Ship Ports, Truck Load Reports, and other shipping functions as required.
- Move parts from the Market Area to Assembly Lines and from lines to Finished Goods.
- Supply Presses with containers and move stampings to the Market Area.
- Move trailers with a switcher truck as needed.
- Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a satisfactory work area through the implementation of 5S.
- Perform daily towmotor safety checks and dock / platform inspections.
- Engage dock locks before entering trailers.
- Inspect racks for damage during unloading and ensure proper packaging.
- Ensure bar code labels match part numbers and are in good condition for scanning.
- Pull parts from stock in FIFO order for shipment staging.
- Maintain proper flow of press and small parts Kanban.
- Support company goals and provide input for reducing line downtime.
- Maintain towmotor equipment for stable productivity.
- Follow rules on EH Boards and ensure compliance with fixed location parts.
- Demonstrate leadership in attendance, quality, and accountability.
- Perform other assignments as necessary.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.86 - $19.86 / hr.
