SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for applying principles of accounting to prepare and review financial documents, reports, and statements as well as overseeing all accounting procedures including month-end closures and reconciliations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
- Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings.
- Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.
- Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
- Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
- Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates, licenses and registrations required :CPA preferredComputer skills required :Accounting Software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP)Spreadsheet Software (Excel)Word Processing Software (Word)Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)Presentation software (PowerPoint)Other skills required :Bachelor’s degree in in Accounting, Finance or related field.Work experience as an Accountant.Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables.Experience with general ledger functions.Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.COMPETENCIES :
