Overview
Location : Houston, TX. Project Duration : 12 months with possible extension. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience in PLC programming.
Responsibilities
- Perform system engineering for automation process control projects based on programmable controllers, drives, motor control centers, operator / field devices, instrumentation, and related systems.
- Lead and review assigned engineering tasks for a project, assign tasks, monitor performance, coordinate efforts, track hours, and work with the Project Manager to manage costs and ensure high quality.
- Handle parts creation, purchasing, and project supplies activation in the IFS system.
- Apply codes and standards for industrial control systems, including NEC, NFPA 72, 85, 86, IEC 61511, IEC 61508, and UL 508A.
- Collaborate with Sales and Solution Consultants on customer presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial activities.
- Develop and implement system designs across hardware and software, including subsystem integration and total system considerations; perform studies and analyze existing systems as needed.
- Coordinate design of subsystems and total system integration; perform system design, hardware engineering, programming, and factory testing.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies and develop corrective actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (minimum)Minimum 5 years of related experience in PLC programming.Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation FTView SE / ME, Studio 5000, ControlLogix, GuardLogix, CompactLogix, FTHistorian, ThinManager, PlantPAX.Experience with DLR, ControlNet, Modbus TCP / RTU, OPC DA / UA, PRP.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage project tasks while maintaining cost efficiency.Strong communication and documentation skills.Job Function and Industry
