Description : Position Summary

As a Host / Hostess at the Palm House, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for greeting and seating them while ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your role is essential in managing the flow of guests and enhancing their overall dining experience.

Requirements : Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
  • Manage the reservation system and seating chart to optimize guest flow.
  • Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and daily specials.
  • Answer questions about the menu and assist with special requests.
  • Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure prompt and efficient service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
  • Manage waitlists and provide accurate wait time estimates to guests.
  • Uphold the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A friendly disposition and a passion for providing outstanding guest experiences.

    • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate a busy dining area and assist guests as needed.
  • Dexterity to handle menus, utensils, and other dining items.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions if outdoors.
