Summary
As a Project Manager / Estimator, you will be responsible for all aspects of your assigned electrical construction projects. The role includes exceeding customer expectations while adhering to the company's core values, safety policies / OSHA standards, and requirements. This position will also estimate potential electrical projects and create detailed cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, manage, and train field staff.
- Provide leadership support and accountability for field staff.
- Plan, schedule, and maintain project schedules and manpower projections.
- Manage and monitor generation and tracking of RFIs, submittals, change orders, project costs, budgets, billings, cash flow, and material buys / ordering.
- Visit assigned projects weekly and communicate with onsite staff and the general contractor.
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
- Proactively identify and vet new business opportunities.
- Visit job sites to obtain information for scope definition and estimating.
- Meet with general contractors and customers as needed to understand needs.
- Prepare detailed scope documents including RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and estimates.
- Participate in pre-bid, post-bid, and project take-off meetings.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market factors (pricing, materials, labor, etc.).
- Utilize internal systems to maintain project documentation and historical trends.
- Perform value engineering analyses.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education
High School Diploma or GEDAssociates degree in Project Management desiredExperience Desired
