Glass Estimator / Project Manager

Our experienced estimators, project managers, and installers work with architects, general contractors, and owners to add value to the project while completing on budget and on time. Glassco offers custom designed solutions for commercial glazing, LEED assistance, fabrication, and installation. Our services include the design and installation for projects such as storefronts, curtainwalls, skylights, ACM Panels, historic window replacement and much more.

Position Description :

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Glass Estimator / Project Manager. Glassco is committed to providing hands-on training and guidance from the best in the industry to allow you to maximize your professional impact and earning potential. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong set of communication skills and glass industry knowledge.

Responsibilities :

• Strong communication skills and ability to create relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Review project specifications, architectural drawings and other relevant documents to accurately assess the scope of work required for potential projects.
• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for glazing projects, including materials, labor, equipment and other associated expenses.
• Source and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and ensure timely delivery.
• Perform precise quantity take-offs of glazing materials and components to determine accurate project costs.
• Collaborate with Operations and our clients to suggest value engineering options that optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Prepare comprehensive bid packages, ensuring all relevant details and cost breakdowns are clearly presented.
• Submit accurate and timely proposals to clients, ensuring compliance with project requirements and adhering to bid deadlines.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs with actual costs, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving efficiency.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless completion of projects.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : Based on skillset and experience.

Expected hours : 45 – 50 hours per week is common.

Schedule : Day shift , Monday to Friday

Ability to commute / relocate : Piqua, OH : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License / Certification : Driver's License (Required)
