Operate 30,000 to 40,000 lb. capacity forklift in a safe, secure, and productive manner Move or load product such as large structures / poles Operate on outside terrain in a variety of weather conditions Check for damage or defect of product during processes and report Make recommendations to resolve any damage or defects found in products Complete required paperwork Establish priorities and reorder priorities when necessary Maintain a safe and productive working environment by wearing required personal protective equipment including seatbelt and following facility safety regulations at all times Follow all required processes, procedures and regulations Ability to self-supervise at times but communicate with Supervisor as needed Willingness to assist in other areas of shipping / receiving when needed. Additional Responsibilities : Pay attention to detail and follow work instructions Calculate simple mathematics and accurately read a tape measure Communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner Be a team player in a diverse group assisting in other areas / in other ways as needed Be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results Job Qualifications : High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum 1 year of experience operating a large forklift Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience operating heavy equipment preferred Key Competencies : Patience Communication Attention to Detail Flexibility Working Well under Pressure Organization Integrity Self-supervision Physical Requirements : Able to lift up to 50 lbs, Able stand, walk, climb, sit, bend, squat, stoop, push, pull, reach, grasp, hold and carry for various periods of time Able to wear department required PPE : Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, reflective vest and other specific PPE (seat belt), long sleeves, long pants, steel toed boots with built in met guards Job Summary : Operate large capacity forklift safely to move large product in and out of the plant, on the yard and on and off trucks in a fast-paced environment.Must follow all processes, procedures and regulations and maintain the highest of standards including no damage to product, equipment or trucks.Must wear all required PPE, arrive on time, work the required schedule each week and report any damage or issues to the department supervisor.Must be willing and able to assist in other areas of shipping if needed.
