Our Client is seeking a junior associate to join the transactional tax practice group in their New York office. Their U.S. tax practice offers the full range of transactional tax planning services as well as providing counseling in risk management, and representation before the IRS and state and local tax authorities.

In addition, their attorneys advise clients on new tax legislation and regulations, assist in the development of tax policy, and provide representation before Congress, the Department of the Treasury, and other governmental agencies

Qualifications :

Qualified applicants for this position must have :

• a minimum of 1 year of transactional tax experience;
• strong research, writing and analytic skills;
• an ability to work independently and creatively;
• and an ability to work successfully and cooperatively as part of a team.

Applicants who have had exposure to significant and innovative cross-border tax structures and transactions, including the U.S. tax aspects of inbound and outbound transactions, M&A, financing transactions, subchapter C and partnerships / joint ventures are preferred.

All applicants should have excellent academic credentials and references.

Applicants must currently be licensed, or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice in New York
