ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Tacoma, WA 98405 (Washington healthcare jobs) Facility : Level II Trauma Center, Level IV NICU Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 21, 2026 Contract Duration : 14 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shifts (various start times; 1900-0700 most common) Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend Holiday Coverage : 3 of 5 major holidays Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880 - $2020 Free parking available in designated areas Emergency Room RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI / MOAB Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, emergency medication administration, procedural sedation, blood administration, and cardiac medications Successful completion of Traveler Telemetry Competency Exam prior to start Experience with Epic EMR preferred First-time travel nurses are not eligible for this assignment ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics Manage patient ratios of 1 : 4 (may flex to 1 : 5 for low-acuity cases) Provide care for trauma, sepsis, COVID-19, STEMI, stroke, DKA, mental health, respiratory, and other high-acuity emergencies Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV insertion, medication administration, and procedural sedation Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including ER techs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and security Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems Participate in orientation and ongoing education with support from an Emergency Department educator Maintain professional appearance (any professional scrub color, modest piercings, non-offensive tattoos) Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
