Responsibilities Resource Float position covering Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed Hospital setting at an academic teaching facility 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required Floating required between Med / Surg Tele and Medical-Surgical units No on-call requirements Travelers must work at least 2 of the following holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day Provide care to a diverse medical-surgical and telemetry patient population Bi-weekly orientation with next available orientation on Monday, 11 / 3 No block scheduling allowed Must work 2 out of the 4 major holidays during the contract Participation in a team-centered environment at a teaching hospital First-time travelers are not eligible for this position Requirements Active VT or compact RN license required AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS must be obtained prior to start) Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg Tele nursing experience required Prior travel assignment experience required Experience in an academic teaching hospital required Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required Reliable personal or rental vehicle required due to lack of public transportation Must use all season or snow tires from November to April Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614688.
