Unarmed Security Officer - Retail Site - Full Time

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment at a premier retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, maintaining a strong and approachable presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting visitors with professionalism and courtesy. You will also be expected to communicate clearly and provide exceptional customer service, supporting both the client and their guests. Pay Rate : $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 12 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Tue 12 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Wed 12 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Thur 12 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns within the retail environment.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with retail staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related matters and maintain a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and documentation related to patrols and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
