As a Back Room Supervisor , you’ll lead our donation and production operations to ensure an efficient, organized, and mission-driven environment. This blended role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on setting while also stepping into a leadership position that shapes team development and store success.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members, stepping in to fulfill tasks as needed
- Establish clear expectations, provide training and feedback, and support staff development opportunities
- Address and resolve team performance issues and workplace challenges effectively
- Oversee breaks, lunches, and shift transitions to maintain a seamless workflow
- Conduct performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions or rewards as necessary
Backroom Operations & Coordination
Oversee backroom operations by assigning tasks and coordinating daily workflowsEnsure a clean, safe, and organized donation processing areaProvide support with item pricing checks and final quality assessmentsMaintain safety and cleanliness standards throughout the workspaceAccept or reject furniture donations as appropriate, per store guidelinesOffer excellent service to all donors and community membersOrganizational Support
Participate in interviews and hiring decisions for backroom staffCommunicate staffing needs to HR and support onboarding / training of new hiresCoordinate with leadership and front-end supervisors to align on daily operations and needsAssist with truck logistics and high-volume coordination as neededJob Qualifications
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience :
1+ years of supervisory or management experience requiredThrift store or retail experience strongly preferredSkills & Traits :
Strong leadership and team-building skillsEffective multitasking, organization, and delegation abilitiesClear and professional communicationConflict resolution and problem-solving skillsEfficiency-minded with strong attention to detailMission-driven mindset with compassion, respect, and kindnessPhysical Requirements :
