Senior Backend Engineer

A company is looking for a Senior / Lead Backend Engineer specializing in Python and Java for a remote role in the US.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services for an internal data management platform

Collaborate with the engineering team and customers to support service deployment and assist in migration tasks

Contribute to documentation, participate in code reviews, and maintain high code quality standards

Required Qualifications

Proficient in Python for backend development; knowledge of Java is desired

Good understanding of data structures, distributed systems, and system design

Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot and potentially Django or Flask

Familiarity with PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
