Scope of work

This team member will serve in a clinical and clerical role. The team member delivers quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider; they also provide clerical support in complex matters to assist in the delivery of value-driven health care services.

The ambulatory clinical clerical tech (ACCT) in the gender affirmation clinic plays a pivotal role in coordinating care for transgender patients. They work closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers (APPs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and comprehensive care throughout the patient's journey. ACCTs in our office contribute to both clinical and clerical roles. They assist with patient care, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations, while also managing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records. A significant portion of this role is dedicated to obtaining prior authorizations for patient surgeries. Candidates for this position should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent Required

AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days

2 years of Insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support experience Preferred

2 years of clinical care experience Preferred
