QUALIFICATIONS :

High School Diploma / GED and at least one year of experience in fitness center customer service, clerical and / or sales, and / or fitness office functions required. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, which includes a background check, drug and alcohol screening. Must have aspirations for becoming a fitness professional and current knowledge of basic operations and uses of cardiovascular and strength training equipment. Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED), and First-aid is preferred. Must have an upbeat, creative, fun and learning attitude. Experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and aptitude to perform the defined duties.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

The work area is well lighted, ventilated and heated. Occasionally work outdoors where there is a potential to be exposed to various weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

The physical demands for this position are moderately active. Walking, running, standing, bending, stooping, sitting, jumping and carrying of moderately heavy weight while carrying out various job duties. Must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds of weight without assistance.
