Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and sanitary patient rooms by rotating sheets, changing bedpans, and performing general room upkeep
- Communicate information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care
- Help patients with basic care including bathing, dressing, going to the restroom, eating, and taking proper medication dosages on a daily basis
- Assist patients with regular exercise as needed to maintain physical health and mobility level
- Record patient vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level
Qualifications
Should have strong physical stamina to reposition and lift patients from beds to examination tables for wheelchairs and move medical equipmentProficient computer skills and experience using computer database to ensure patient history is accurately recordedExcellent communication skills that focus on creating and maintaining positive relationships between patient and familiesCandidates must have already completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a medical facility, vocational school, or community collegePrior experience helping bedridden patients and patients who suffer from age-related illness including Alzheimer's and Dementia would be preferred
