Full-time | On-site | Design-Build Engineering

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing industrial design-build client with offices in Cincinnati, OH and Fort Wayne, IN . This full-time opportunity is ideal for a Mechanical Design Engineer experienced in refrigeration system design, hydronic piping, and technical project estimating. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical systems (CO2, ammonia, hydronic piping, HVAC) for industrial facilities
  • Meet with clients to define project needs and propose tailored design solutions
  • Develop cost estimates, quotes, and technical presentations
  • Evaluate equipment and vendor options for optimal system performance
  • Lead project planning efforts and coordinate documentation
  • Mentor junior team members and support internal process improvement

What You Bring

  • Mechanical Engineering degree preferred; or 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong background in industrial refrigeration and mechanical system components
  • Experience with quoting, estimating, and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project)
  • Knowledge of OSHA / EPA safety and compliance standards
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
