As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence. Your role is key in maintaining a secure environment for employees and visitors, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $17.60 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Tue 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Wed 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sat 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 03 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors as per site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer and / or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
