Medical Malpractice / PI Paralegal

New York Law Firm is searching for a Paralegal / Legal Assistant with experience and knowledge with Medical Malpractice / Personal Injury for immediate placement in White Plains, NY.

The right candidate must be a self-motivator and be a team player. Additionally, the candidate must be punctual, diligent, and possess a high work ethic.

Paralegal Responsibilities :

Assist with taking cases from inception through trial

Analyze documents

Summarizes deposition transcripts, Medical Records, Medical Bills

Drafts standard correspondence and other legal documents

Communicate with Experts

Prepare documents for expert review

Maintain / Review / Request Medical Records

Draft medical chronologies

Prepare / Draft documents to produce via E-Filing

Maintain / organize case files as needed

Prepare attorney(s) for Mediations, Depositions, Hearings and Trial.

Prepare trial documents, pleadings, binders etc.

Must have experience / knowledge of Medical Malpractice - Personal Injury

Attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written

Ability to multi-task

Works well under pressure and meets deadlines

Knowledge of Local, State and Federal Court Systems

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word

Familiarity with E-filing procedures

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience Requirements

Experience with Medical Malpractice / Personal Injury Law

Combination of education and / or experience

Pay : From $65,000 and up with experience.

Location : White Plains, NY

Job Type : Full-time

Schedule :

8 hour shift - 9AM-5PM

Monday to Friday
