The PFS Benefits Specialist is responsible for supporting individuals served by WellPower in accessing public benefits including Social Security (SSI / SSDI), Medicaid, and Medicare. This position also plays a key role in ensuring insurance eligibility for services provided by WellPower and assisting with Medicaid redeterminations through PeakPro.

Pay Range & Benefits :

$56,000-$70,000 / yr

Essential Functions :

• Assist people we serve with completing SSI / SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare, and other public benefit applications.
• Support clients through the Social Security appeals process as needed.
• Track and assist with Medicaid redetermination deadlines for individuals, including those not enrolled in the payeeship program.
• Utilize PeakPro and other systems to manage and document benefit applications.
• Ensure insurance coverage aligns with services provided by WellPower.
• Communicate with external agencies (SSA, Health First Colorado, etc.) to gather necessary documentation or resolve issues.
• Collaborate with PFS Advisors to streamline benefits-related workflows.
• Provide customer service to individuals seeking assistance with their benefits or benefit status.
• Maintain trauma-informed principles in all interactions with clients and coworkers.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications :

Typical Physical and Mental Demands

Requires sitting, standing bending, and reaching. May require lifting up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment.
