job_description.job_card.job_descriptionParticipate in onsite facility evaluations and collaborate with engineers and field operational teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings. Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other drafting tools. Develop and update electrical layout plans, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control panel designs for natural gas distribution facilities such as compressor stations, metering stations, and pipeline installations. Review and incorporate markups, redlines, and revisions into drawings as directed by the engineering team. Select materials and prepare material lists based on standards, specifications, operation requirements and engineers' direction. Perform calculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electrical system sizing, and equipment capacity. Ensure design drawings meet Company specifications, regulatory and safety requirements. Assist Engineers with resolving any electrical design issues and developing effective solutions. Associate's degree in design and CAD technology and a minimum of three or more years' CAD experience within the utility industry. American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) certification is preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel is required. Proficient with Adobe / BlueBeam is preferred. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and customer service skills. The ability to stay up to date with the latest developments in electrical systems and best practices. Valid drivers' license and ability to travel to remote work locations. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation.
