The Lifeguard is responsible for upholding all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations, as well as recognizing and responding quickly and effectively to emergencies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Monitor the pool and pool users at all times, ensuring safety and the absence of hazards.
- Uphold all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
- Recognize and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Assist with opening and closing the pool as needed.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required.
WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
High School Diploma.At least 1-3 years of experience with a valid Lifeguarding Certification from the American Red Cross or another recognized organization, including lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR / AED for the professional rescuer.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work effectively with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse groups.Innovative in proposing new methods to perform tasks, willing to take thoughtful risks, and receptive to initiatives and solutions to achieve results.Adaptable to change, eager to learn new skills, and flexible in changing conditions.HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
