The Lifeguard is responsible for upholding all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations, as well as recognizing and responding quickly and effectively to emergencies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Monitor the pool and pool users at all times, ensuring safety and the absence of hazards.
  • Uphold all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Assist with opening and closing the pool as needed.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience with a valid Lifeguarding Certification from the American Red Cross or another recognized organization, including lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR / AED for the professional rescuer.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse groups.
  • Innovative in proposing new methods to perform tasks, willing to take thoughtful risks, and receptive to initiatives and solutions to achieve results.
  • Adaptable to change, eager to learn new skills, and flexible in changing conditions.

    • HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

    Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
