Overview
Experienced Litigation Paralegal - Any office location at Baker Donelson. This position may be based at any office location within the Firm's footprint and offers flexibility, including remote work with occasional travel for training, trial preparation, and in-person events.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to trial counsel across all stages of litigation, from initial investigation through trial and resolution.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conduct thorough factual investigations; assist attorneys in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials; provide support during trial proceedings.
- Manage, organize, and review complex litigation documents; conduct effective legal research; navigate court websites; file electronically and in paper as required.
- Maintain familiarity with relevant court rules; ensure compliance in state and federal courts.
- Record billable hours accurately; manage multiple projects and priorities for different attorneys; work overtime and travel for trials as required.
- Collaborate using productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Asana) as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and / or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.Minimum of five years of litigation experience.Proven ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks.Strong experience with document review platforms (e.g., Relativity) and electronic filing procedures in state and federal courts.Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.Willingness to travel for trials and to work overtime as required.Requirements
