Overview
The Data Conversion Consultant (DCC) is a member of the Implementation Team responsible for coordinating the transition of Defined Contribution (DC) Plans to new plan services. This role involves managing the documentation and coordination of conversion data from prior recordkeepers, working directly with clients to develop a Conversion Strategy, and ensuring accurate and complete delivery of plan data. The DCC also oversees the transfer of assets, reconciles trust balances to participants' account balances, and partners with clients to resolve any variances.
Location : Covington KY or Merrimack NH or Westlake TX
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to develop and document a Conversion Strategy for Defined Contribution (401k) plan transitions.
- Coordinate the delivery of data from prior recordkeepers, reviewing packages for completeness and accuracy.
- Follow up with prior recordkeepers until all expected data is received and all outstanding questions are resolved.
- Manage and oversee the transfer of plan assets, reconciling trust balances against participant account balances.
- Identify, research, and resolve data and reconciliation variances in collaboration with clients.
- Serve as a primary client-facing liaison during the data conversion process, ensuring clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth, timely, and compliant conversions.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in 401(k) plan administration, implementation, or operationsStrong background in business analysis (requirement gathering, client-facing discussions, and process documentation).General understanding of the retirement and defined contribution marketDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate potential problems, and implement solutions effectively.Excellent written, verbal, and client communication skills with strong attention to detail.Strong analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills.Proven organizational and time management abilities.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.Seniority level
