Systems Engineer III

Qualifications You Must Have :

• Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
• Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
• Experience with Windows or Linux environment system administration (e.g., active directory, domain setup and management)
• Experience with virtualized and containerized environment architecture, setup, administration and deployment (e.g., vSphere, Proxmox, RHEL KVM, OpenShift)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with tools such as Rancher, OpenShift, or EKS for managing Kubernetes clusters
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and deployment, automation, and monitoring
• Experience deploying applications in a production environment
• Knowledge of network-attached storage (NAS) solutions.
• Strong scripting and automation skills, with experience using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Understanding of security principles and protocols, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with virtual and containerized infrastructure security best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and threats
• Experience implementing and maintaining compliance controls ISSO Security+ Certification is required An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Qualifications We Prefer :
• Familiarity setting up active directory and domain controllers and group policy management.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP / IP, DNS, and SSL / TLS
• Experience with distributed file systems and understanding of data replication techniques
• Experience with log management and analysis tools
• Experience with security testing tools
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with agile development methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence
