Your Role
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Emergency Room, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nursing care tailored to our diverse patient population. Under the guidance of our Executive Director, Director, or Clinical Coordinator, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your commitment to the Person- and Family-Centered Care Model will ensure that families are integral partners in the care process, fostering an environment of mutual trust and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments, documenting patient medical histories and monitoring changes in conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments using bar code scanning and evidence-based safety procedures.
- Lead and coordinate care plans with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring educational and discharge planning needs are met.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to other healthcare personnel, including LPNs and CNAs.
- Utilize critical thinking to implement direct patient care and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring continuity of care through thorough documentation and handoff reports.
- Educate patients and families on health topics, promoting independence and informed decision-making.
- Engage in Quality Monitoring and Performance Improvement initiatives, incorporating evidence-based practices into daily care.
- Stay informed about fire, disaster, and safety procedures relevant to the work area.
RequirementsFormal Education
Graduate of an accredited RN education program; Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Work Experience
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.Licenses and Certifications
Current State of Florida RN License.BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (must be obtained through the AHA).Emergency Department : BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and PALS required.Why Join Us?
