We provide compassionate, high-quality care in a supportive small-town atmosphere.\nPosition Summary : \n\nThe Per Diem Float Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care across multiple hospital units as needed, including Medical / Surgical, ER, Long-Term Care, Transitional Rehab, and Geriatric Behavioral Medicine. This role demands flexibility, clinical competence, and the ability to adapt quickly to different care settings and patient populations.\nKey Responsibilities : \n
- Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions\n
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols\n
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly\n
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care\n
- Provide patient and family education and emotional support\n
- Document nursing care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system\n
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients\n
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times\n
- Demonstrate flexibility by working across different hospital units as staffing needs require\n\nQualifications : \n
- Current Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) licensure\n
- Minimum of 3 year of clinical nursing experience preferred in ER, Acute Care Setting, and Float\n
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required\n
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred or required depending on unit assignment\n
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills\n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team\n
- Adaptability to work varied shifts and different unit environments\n\nPhysical Requirements : \n
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients as needed\n
