Are you an experienced accounting professional seeking a stable, long-term opportunity with a reputable organization? We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Akron, OH. This temp-to-hire position offers the chance to work independently, contribute to process improvements, and support key accounting functions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities :
Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Maintain proper documentation of reconciliations for audit and compliance purposes
Conduct general ledger reconciliations, identify and investigate variances, and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed
Manage and support accounts payable activities, including reviewing and reconciling transactions and accruals
Aid in accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate billing invoices and cash receipt entries
Assist in managing fixed assets, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation; reconcile fixed asset balances and support periodic inventories
Analyze financial transactions, prepare detailed explanations for management or audit review, and assist in interpreting financial data for decision-making
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Experience with fixed assets, journal entries, and reconciliations
Proficiency with general ledger accounting software (MRI Real Estate Software experience a plus)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
Proven track record of longevity and stability in previous roles
Ability to think critically and provide suggestions for process improvements
Pay Details : $28.00 to $35.00 per hour
