Security Officer

As a Security Officer Unarmed Industrial Patrol - Full Time in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a manufacturing and industrial location, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting access control and badge procedures. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, all while making a positive impact in a dynamic environment where people come first.

Pay Rate : $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sat 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sun 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters.
  • Remain alert and observant throughout the shift, adapting to changing environments and conditions within the manufacturing and industrial setting.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Have access control or badge experience.
  • Have customer service experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
