Executive Sous Chef

Role Overview : Sodexo Live! is seeking an Executive Sous Chef with prior culinary supervisory / management skills and hands-on food production experience to join our team at the American Airlines / British Airways (AA / BA) lounges at JFK Airport. Our airport lounges are dedicated spaces for passengers to relax and rejuvenate while awaiting their next adventure. Sodexo operates this 3-tiered lounge, which services international, long-haul travelers and offers top-tier amenities and expanded premium food and beverage offerings.

SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. • Incentives : Paid Airport Parking What You'll Do : be responsible for purchasing, menu / recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, hands-on cooking;
• supervision of large-scale batch cooking;
• ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
• have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;

ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and / or

have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements : Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
