ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you passionate about innovation in packaging and ready to shape the future of Ecommerce? As our Associate Packaging Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving technical development for new and improved packaging solutions across the North America Region—with a strong emphasis on Ecommerce.

In this role, you will support the development of new products / packages, line extensions, and technological advancements which expand the organizational and market needs for this portion of our business, following the technical processes and procedures in place. You will participate on cross-functional teams and provide technical expertise to ensure that the key project objectives are present, applicable, and robust.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end packaging development of projects for the North America Region including primary, secondary, and ecommerce packaging.
• Create robust specifications for packaging components, finished goods, and pallet factors, along with accurate BOM setup.
• Collaborate with project manager and cross functional teams to build project timelines, deliver key milestones and participate in project meetings accordingly.
• Responsible for completing all technical deliverables properly and on time.
• Complete package performance and compatibility testing in support of packaging component changes or new formulations.
• Develop validation and line qualification plans, perform lab tests and line trials, and document results in technical reports and ELNs (Electric Lab Notebooks).
• Provide technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to evaluate and correct package-related issues to maintain production schedules and product quality.
• Contribute to the implementation of the company's sustainability goals.
