Contract Administration Supervisor U.S. Commodities

We are seeking a results driven professional to lead and manage our team of Confirmation Analysts supporting US physical and financial commodity activities. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of daily confirmations, ensuring full compliance with SOX, Risk, and Enbridge Policy requirements. You'll also play a critical role in negotiating and managing commercial agreements for US trading and marketing operations, working closely with counterparties and legal counsel to align agreements with internal policies and business objectives. What You Will Do :
- Lead and manage a team of confirmation analysts handling US commodity activities
- Perform formal negotiation, drafting and review, management and retention of all commercial contracts
- Negotiate initial purchase and sale agreement drafts on behalf of Legal supporting various BU activities
- Provide initial assessments to Legal in contract review with accountability for drafting, negotiating, reviewing and amending agreements
- Liaise with external legal counsel on new types of multi-commodity commercial topics
- Provide advice and guidance to various partners for document preparation and execution of various commodity regulatory activities
- Lead system improvements for contracts and confirmations processes using new technology
- Provide expertise in multi-commodity physical derivative contracts
- Demonstrate team and cross functional collaboration and accountability, providing daily support, training, mentoring and coaching
- Interpret and share knowledge of contractual terms with staff and others to facilitate operational, settlement and administration of contracts
- Ensure staff is responsive and timely with audit requests
- Collaborate cross functionally with BU commercial, Legal, Credit, Tax, Insurance and Accounting teams to ensure terms and conditions align with all Enbridge policies
- Be responsible for contract administrative services for new acquisitions as requested
Who You Are :
Have at least 7+ years of directly related experience negotiating and administering Master Trade Agreements and standard Purchase and Sale agreements along with a bachelor's degree in a business-related subject area OR have been a Licensed Lawyer with a law degree compensating knowledge with lower direct experienceHave strong systems skills working with Energy Trading Risk Management software and high proficiency using the MS Office applicationsYou Can :
Show a solid understanding of physical commodity and financial derivatives contracting practices and administration along with US CFTC trade compliance regulatory requirementsWork with little to no supervision while also being collaborative and willing to contribute to the team's success and build / maintain productive work relationships across all functionsOffer excellent customer service, time management, support and negotiation skillsYou Are :
