About The Role

Canon U.S.A., Inc. in Melville, NY is currently seeking a Logistics Advisor (Advisor, Logistics). The Logistics Advisor serves as a subject matter resource within a function by offering advice on difficult issues within their area of expertise. Provides creative and effective solutions to problems and assists in the development of policies and procedures. Has a thorough knowledge of the functional area, works independently and interacts with peer-level employees across Canon. May provide input into establishing annual objectives for the function. Typically reports to a Senior Manager or Director, and may mentor less experienced professional staff. This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Wednesday and Friday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in-office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.

Your Impact

• Tariff Management involving Section 301, Reciprocal Tariffs and all other related tariffs as announced - C-TPAT Trade Compliance involving both import compliance and C-TPAT security - Export Compliance for both daily and auditing activities - Involvement with Drawback and Foreign Trade Zones - Communication with internal and external parties (including CBP and Customs Brokers) - Handling administration functions (meetings, presentations, etc.)
