Our client is a highly sought-after, stable, and prestigious General Contractor in hyper-growth mode, seeking an experienced Ground Up Commercial Construction Superintendent for multiple projects in the Las Vegas, NV area. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage daily field activities to meet project milestones and schedule completion.
- Create short-interval look-ahead schedules, communicate upcoming events, and proactively address issues.
- Manage and maintain the project site safety plan, fostering a safety-conscious culture.
- Coordinate work to ensure construction aligns with contract standards and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain dimensional controls, utilizing third-party survey and layout when needed.
- Verify work quality, ensuring installations are proper (plumb, level, straight).
- Obtain inspections and document quality aspects of the work.
- Ensure compliance with all contract terms, legal requirements, and community standards.
- Administer client-specific programs such as Landlord / Site Rules, Safety, and Security.
- Participate in pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings.
- Manage self-performed activities within the project budget.
- Handle scope changes, ensuring use of current documents to prevent rework.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders to meet scope and terms.
- Manage punch list and project closeout to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain daily paperwork : timecards, reports, schedules, emails.
- Interact professionally with support groups : clients, vendors, security, etc.
- Develop project schedules for proposals, reviews, and interviews.
- Engage in marketing and project acquisition activities.
- Perform other duties supporting company goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience managing tilt-up and ground-up commercial projects.Tenant Improvement (TI) experience required.Experience with automobile dealership construction is a plus.Degree in Construction Management or similar, or Journeyman status in a building trade with supervisory experience.Understanding of construction methods for commercial, institutional, and site work.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and industry tools.Current safety credentials : OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR.Competencies
