SUMMARY

The Saw Operator / Material Handler plays a crucial role in the planning and executing phase of projects. The specific job description may vary depending on the projects involved.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Load and unload the burning table using the overhead crane with chains or magnet.
• Remove cut products from the table, stack on pallets or place them in bins, and ensure timely delivery to the next department as required.
• Program and operate plasma cutter as well as programming the set up using proper gases and cutting tips.
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning machines and workspace.
• Troubleshoot programs.
• Work in accordance with established safety rules and good housekeeping practices.
• Work on additional equipment or tasks outside the job description as directed by the Plant Manager.
• Perform all necessary quality checks during production and complete daily production reports accurately.
• Must be able to work independently and in a safety sensitive position.
• Must be able to lift and move materials weighing 5-75 lbs.
• Safely operating a Hard Tire or Telehandler Forklift (training provided by the company) to unload material trucks.
• Verify received materials against paperwork; report any discrepancies.
• Correctly label materials with proper ID numbers for easy identification.
• Arrange materials efficiently to maximize space and ensure proper placement.
