What Youll Do

As a Personal Care Companion with Safeway, youll play an essential role in supporting clients to remain safe, independent, and engaged at home.

• Assist with daily living needs : bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Prepare meals, provide feeding support, and assist with light housekeeping or laundry
• Join clients for errands, appointments, and community outings
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
• Help clients use communication technology (smartphones, video calls, etc.)
• Record and report changes in health, behavior, or appearance
• Run without clients (ex, prescription pick-up)
• Communicate with clients on daily basis through phones calls, texts (just a quick check-in)
• Minimal pet care (walking dogs around the block or playing or letting them in and outside)
• Support the office team when needed with scheduling, calls, or documentation
• Open to very minimal yard work (limited to watering plants, weeding)
