Responsibilities Position is based in a Cardiovascular ICU within a Level 1 Trauma hospital Night shifts consist of four 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 7 : 30 36 or 48 hour work weeks available Patient ratio is 1 : 2 in a 36-bed unit Uses tele monitoring, ventilators, drips, arterial lines, sheaths, dialysis, and arterial blood gas testing Requires Epic EMR experience Floating required, including to main and satellite campuses within 15 miles, with assignments in specialty clusters as needed Travelers are first to float at the facility's discretion Must work every other weekend and every other holiday Provide advanced cardiovascular critical care including management of drips, vents, sheaths, and dialysis Required to wear navy blue scrubs on shift First-time travelers are welcome to apply Up to 14 days of requested time off (RTO) may be approved if submitted with initial application No RTO or schedule changes will be negotiated after offer Online modules totaling up to 24 hours are to be completed during orientation Holiday coverage required for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required prior to the contract start date Minimum of 1 year recent, dedicated CVICU RN experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment before starting assignment Ability to read and interpret tele strips required Experience with A-lines, ventilators, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and arterial blood gases required Epic experience is required Level 1 Trauma experience preferred No prior license action accepted Not accepting local candidates within a 50-mile radius Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621566.
